Showing Nationwide in Mid October
The documentary, “More Than A Game,” which follows LeBron James and four of his Akron Saint Vincent Saint Mary teammates, was screened in Akron last night to 600 family members and guests. The movie has been shown at several film festivals and will release nationwide in mid October. At a screening in Toronto the documentary got second place in the Audience Choice category behind only the critically acclaimed Slumdog Millionaire. Although the movie will most likely be a major success nationwide, last nights screening mattered more than any before or after. The director of the film Kristopher Belman was quoted as saying, “I’ve screened the film in Singapore, Amsterdam, Chicago and Washington, D.C., but this is the date I’ve had circled on my calendar for a year,” he said.
