Cavs vs Bulls Highlights - Terminal State of Mind

Here are the highlights from the Cavs vs Bulls game from November 5th. Despite the fact that the Cavs suffered their second home loss, there were positive signs in this game. Anthony Parker was 3 for 3 from behind the arc. Shaq’s half hook in the lane was looking unstoppable. Boobie Gibson knocked down a couple big three pointers, including a shot to end the 3rd quarter. Obviously we’d like to win every game, but it’s easier if there are positives to take away from the game.

The song is called Terminal State of Mind by Bravo.

LeBron James in The City of Dreams

LeBron James put on another amazing performance at Madison Square Garden on Friday. LeBron got the royal treatment with a very loud ovation when he was introduced. Once the ball was tipped he didn’t disappoint, starting the game off by scoring 19 points in the first quarter.

LeBron’s jumper was so deadly in the first half that he didn’t attempt a shot inside the paint until the third quarter. He dazzled the crowd with a shooting display that included baseline jumpers, step backs, and pull ups that left defenders helpless. He capped the first quarter off with a buzzer beating three.

LeBron was the by far the brightest star in New York, despite having Jay-Z, CC Sabathia, and A-Rod sitting courtside. The King always seems to play better at Madison Square Garden and tonight was no exception. Although it’s always fun to watch LeBron perform at The Garden, it’s a sight I don’t want to become too familiar with. Once a year is just fine by me.

LeBron James Gives Back to New York?

LeBron is holding an event called “Gift of the Game” in New York City today. The event is sponsoring open gyms for high school aged basketball players throughout the city as LeBron looks to give back to New York. This event only adds to the hype and speculation surrounding the Cavs only visit to MSG this season.

LeBron sent “an open letter” to New York as part of the event which starts off by saying, “Thank you for welcoming me back to New York City, one of my favorite places in the world to play. The Big Apple has always been good to me so I wanted to do something special to show my appreciation.” The letter then goes on to explain the event in further detail.

“July 1 is right around the corner”

Is “July 1 right around the corner” as LeBron said on Thursday before the Bulls game? I think July 1st is a long way away, and LeBron should be thinking the same thing. Perhaps I’m over analyzing the quote but, as the Cavs are now 3-3, the focus should be on this season and finding ways to win games.

LeBron’s latest comments have to make any Cavs fan uneasy. When speaking about tonight’s game against New York he said, “There will be a lot of intensity. The fact that we only play there once, there’s going to be a lot of energy to see the team and see us and see me. July 1 is right around the corner so it’s going to be really exciting.”

As if hearing LeBron say that his free agency is right around the corner isn’t enough he went on to say, “I don’t tease. I have never teased the New York media by saying I was coming to New York or playing for the Knicks. I say the same thing every time. When July 1 gets here, I’m going to approach it like a businessman and approach it the best way for LeBron and his family, but I’ve been a Cav for seven years now and I’ve never given any indication of leaving.

“For me to say I’m not going to be a Knick or I’m going to be a Cav, or I’m not going to be a Cav and be a Knick, I’m not going to say that right now because I did a three-year contract for a reason. I want to keep my options open.”

LeBron won’t be revealing his plans any time soon. Even if he plans to stay in Cleveland he can’t tell the media. Leaving his options open forces the Cavs to do anything to improve the team. Cavaliers management knows that the team will be devastated without LeBron so they will literally do everything they can to keep him in Cleveland. If LeBron plans to leave he’s not going to ruin the team chemistry for the current season.

One thing seems to be certain, LeBron enjoys the attention. Tonight’s game will be overshadowed by the 2010 talk and LeBron is just fine with that.

James isn’t going to leave unless something goes wrong

Would I look good in royal blue and orange?

Would I look good in royal blue and orange?

In a recent Newsday.com article it was said that LeBron won’t be leaving Cleveland unless something goes horribly wrong this year. The article does believe that if the King decides to leave Cleveland it will be for New York, because they, “have a reputation for treating their players well, a coach and general manager who get it and a super-charged fan base.”

The argument for LeBron staying is that it no longer matters if you play in a big market. The internet and the overall growth of the media and addition of new technology has made accessing your favorite NBA players easier than ever. LeBron is an international star already and moving to New York might actually hurt his image. After all he did just make a movie that focused on his loyalty to his friends and Akron.

At the end of the season LeBron will have a huge choice to make. A choice that we have no control over. A choice that is still 9 months away. So for now, it’s time to focus on the Celtics! 3 more days until opening night…I can’t wait.

Eddy Curry thinks New York deserves a player like LeBron

Besides Ricky Davis, who doesnt want to be on LeBrons team?

Besides Ricky Davis, who doesn't want to be on LeBron's team?

Eddy Curry recently commented on the only hot topic involving the Knicks these days…LeBron James. “You know it’s there, I hope they do get LeBron. I hope I’m here when he comes. If not, I think the city deserves a player like him.” It’s funny that New York’s media day focused on the possibility of having LeBron in 2010 more then they focused on the current Knicks team.

But does New York really deserve LeBron? What exactly have the good folks of New York done to deserve The King? The answer is, they all decided to live in a big city with a rich basketball history. A city that can turn a superstar into an international icon. Other than their standing ovation last time LeBron played in The Garden, they haven’t done much.

Although LeBron has stated goals of becoming a billionaire and a businessman, he’s proving that he can do that from Cleveland. This summer he went on a world tour. He’s releasing a book and a movie this year and he has another movie scheduled to shoot in the summer of 2010. He’s the reigning MVP on a team that had a great summer in the free agent market. Cleveland deserves a player like LeBron. After years of coming so close to championships, seasons starting with so much potential, and so many bitter endings, Cleveland deserves LeBron. Cleveland deserves a championship and LeBron will be The One to bring the trophy back to the only city that truly deserves Him.

LeBron to star in movie next summer

I mean, yeah Im tall, but acting is my passion. Didnt you see me on SNL?

"I mean, yeah I'm tall, but acting is my passion. Didn't you see me on SNL?"

As LeBron has had a busy summer promoting his new movie and book, it seems he’s already made plans for the summer of 2010. Well, not those plans, but he will star in a movie called, “Fantasy Basketball Camp.” Brian Grazer, who produced “8 Mile,” believes that LeBron’s hours in front of cameras for interviews, commercials, and even music videos make him the perfect candidate for this role.

The premise of the movie is built around five men who attend LeBron’s Adult Basketball Camp and subsequently pull James into their various life issues. No other actors have been named at this time, but production is scheduled to start in the summer of 2010. Busy summer ahead…

LeBron comments on More Than A Game music

If youre lost you can look and you will find me, Time After Time!

"If you're lost you can look and you will find me, Time After Time!"

In a recent interview LeBron talked about his upcoming film “More Than A Game,” and the music that’s being created for the soundtrack. Artists have been able to watch the movie and then create songs for the movie’s soundtrack. The newest song is the “Forever (Remix)” with Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and Eminem.

LeBron also talks about the songs that got him pumped up for high school games. This movie looks like it’s going to be really good. I still can’t believe it came in second in the Toronto Film Festival, with only Slumdog Millionaire beating it out!

In my opinion this is a great interview. The questions are not typical “LeBron James” questions. You can read a thousand articles about LeBron James and they all cover similar topics. If you listen to this interview you will get 90% non-fluff. I encourage all LeBron fans to listen (the audio link is at the very top of the page).
