At the start of the season there were new LeBron James free agency articles every hour it seemed. Things have slowed down a bit since the early media frenzy. It’s no coincidence that LeBron to New York/New Jersey talk has slowed down as both teams are off to horrible starts. New Jersey is 0-13 while the knicks are 3-10.
At this point I can’t see LeBron going to New York or New Jersey. Both teams are playing horrible basketball. The only way LeBron could end up playing on one of these two teams is if a couple other free agents took a leap of faith and signed first. LeBron has said that it’s all about winning, but if he goes to either of these teams at this point his motive would be seriously questioned.
The Nets have become the joke of the NBA as fans wonder if a team could actually lose all 82 games? Then, as if the Knicks were upset with the lack of attention, Nate Robinson became the newest punch line when he shot at the opposing teams basket at the end of a quarter. Is it a coincidence that the Knicks were playing in New Jersey when Robinson took his ill fated shot? I think not.
I can only imagine the conversation when Nate Robinson arrived on the sideline to an infuriated coach D’Antoni.
“Nate what were you thinking?”
“I wasn’t coach”
“You’re focused on the wrong things this year Nate”
“So are you coach”
