Gloria's Warrior
Gloria James has decided to chime in on the LeBron to New York talk. At a party promoting his new book, “Shooting Stars,” LeBron’s mother told Page Six that he wouldn’t be moving to New York any time soon. She said LeBron was a hometown boy, and Cleveland is the King’s home.

MVP
Greg Tanner has a great article following LeBron through his time in London. This is a great read and an inside look at one of LeBron’s stops on his world tour. Unfortunately during this stop LeBron did state once again that he’s not sure what will happen in 2010. When asked about 2010 James was quoted as saying, “I haven’t decided.”

Still with the hat?
In an article from as recently as Tuesday, there are still people that believe LeBron belongs in Cleveland. The rationale of the author is that if LeBron goes to New York other marquee players will follow the King. He reasons that LeBron will win championships no matter where he plays, so why not play in New York?
At one point in the article he even says that it’s time for the greatest NBA player to play in New York, “the NBA’s biggest market and greatest NBA city.” Is it time for LeBron to move to New York and hope another player follows him? Is it time for LeBron to move to New York and be the brightest star in the biggest city?
The answer is no. LeBron belongs in his own city. The city that he made. The city that loves him. NoYork, NoYork, NoYork, NoYork (are you chanting at your computer yet?)

Is the Summer of LeBron starting to cool off already?
“Maybe Dwyane (Wade) leaves but I don’t think anybody believes LeBron leaves Cleveland. They’re spending $100 million dollars trying to win a title for the guy.” This is a quote from an NBA front office source in Ken Berger’s CBS article
The article cites James’ comments about signing a shorter deal before June 30, 2010 when the Summer of LeBron officially begins. This would give LeBron a couple more years with Cleveland while the salary cap (hopefully) rebounds. He would still be able to leave while he was in his prime if he felt Cleveland wasn’t his final destination.
The article argues that Amare Stoudemire will most likely be the biggest free agent in 2010. Scenarios for Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and the King of Ohio all seem more far fetched in the authors mind. Let’s hope he’s right!

No, no, and no...
Many people see the Knicks hopes of signing LeBron decreasing. Less than a year ago the Knicks were openly applauding LeBron James when he came to the Garden. Fast forward a bit, and the new cap memo might be costing the Knicks their shot at the King. Take a look at all the details here.

Where are you going in 2010? LeBron open your mouth...speak!!!
That’s a quote that Cleveland needs to hear right now. As LeBron continues his whirlwind tour across the globe, Cavs fans have already started to sweat about where the King will be in 2010. Unlike LeBron’s carefully planned world tour, next year is still uncharted water.
In an interview with Tom Withers of the Associated Press, LeBron commented on his 2010 “hopes.” He was quoted as saying, “I’m excited about the upcoming season and I have never given any indication that I’m leaving Cleveland. I’ve been happy with what the franchise has done for me and my family. It’s been great. Hopefully everything goes right and hopefully I can sign a big contract to stay in Cleveland.”
Here’s hoping everything goes right!

These guys could never be on the same team...right?
ESPN’s panel of experts weighed in on this question recently. 52 voters made their best guess on where the King’s Throne will be located in 2010. The results were very positive as 38 of the voters thought LeBron would remain in Cleveland.
The article cites the NBA number crunch on 2010’s cap space as the chief reason LeBron will stay. It would be very hard for New York, and other teams salivating over LeBron, to sign two max contracts in the same year with the new cap.
New York was second in the voting receiving 8 votes. Miami had 3, New Jersey had 2, and even Boston got one ( if LBJ is a celtic, I will quit the NBA entirely). To read the full article click here.

In my opinion this is a great interview. The questions are not typical “LeBron James” questions. You can read a thousand articles about LeBron James and they all cover similar topics. If you listen to this interview you will get 90% non-fluff. I encourage all LeBron fans to listen (the audio link is at the very top of the page).
