LeBron to New Jersey talk is back

First order of business, change these hideous jerseys

Something about this doesn't look right?

With the news that the New Jersey Nets are close to having an owner worth 9 billion dollars, the rumors of LeBron to Brooklyn are back. Mikhail Prokhorov, of Russia, is putting up $700 million to become the majority owner of the Nets and to help fund their move to Brooklyn. What does any of this have to do with LeBron James you ask?

As we’ve all heard LeBron’s lifetime goal is to become a billionaire businessman. Now the Nets not only have Jay-Z, who is a pretty decent business mind in his own right, but they’ve added Russia’s richest man. Not only is Prokhorov rich, he’s expanding his business to a new country which is something LeBron is already attempting to do (See the LeBron World Tour).

Prokhorov spent tons of money on his European team and has championships to show for his spending. He will be an involved owner, but not in the way Mark Cuban runs the Mavs. Prokhorov likes to hang out with the players socially. Now ask yourself would LeBron entertain thoughts of flying all over the world with close friend Jay-Z and one of the richest men in the world? Maybe if he can postpone shooting his next movie….

Slam imagines the possibilities in 2010

Its only getting worse...

It's only getting worse...

Slam posted a story called “Imagine That” where they played out three possible 2010 scenarios. After suffering through a Knicks scenario and a Brooklyn Nets version, you can read about the possibility of LeBron staying in Cleveland. It’s an interesting read if nothing else.

I will sign books, shoes, basketballs, anything....well not a contract...

Three words that all of Cleveland has been waiting to hear. LeBron James was signing his new book, “Shooting Stars” for fans in a Cleveland Indians hat on Friday when a fan said, “Don’t leave us man.” LeBron responded with a smile saying, “I ain’t leaving.” If only he’d been signing a contract instead of a book…

LeBron to star in movie next summer

I mean, yeah Im tall, but acting is my passion. Didnt you see me on SNL?

"I mean, yeah I'm tall, but acting is my passion. Didn't you see me on SNL?"

As LeBron has had a busy summer promoting his new movie and book, it seems he’s already made plans for the summer of 2010. Well, not those plans, but he will star in a movie called, “Fantasy Basketball Camp.” Brian Grazer, who produced “8 Mile,” believes that LeBron’s hours in front of cameras for interviews, commercials, and even music videos make him the perfect candidate for this role.

The premise of the movie is built around five men who attend LeBron’s Adult Basketball Camp and subsequently pull James into their various life issues. No other actors have been named at this time, but production is scheduled to start in the summer of 2010. Busy summer ahead…

LeBron visited Jon Stewart a few days back to promote his new book “Shooting Stars.” After discussing the book Jon does his best to entice LeBron to leave the Cavaliers. Although the tone of the interview was comedic, and the “gifts” that Jon bestowed upon LeBron were gags, it’s clear that New York is still after LeBron….watch the evidence above.

LeBron comments on More Than A Game music

If youre lost you can look and you will find me, Time After Time!

"If you're lost you can look and you will find me, Time After Time!"

In a recent interview LeBron talked about his upcoming film “More Than A Game,” and the music that’s being created for the soundtrack. Artists have been able to watch the movie and then create songs for the movie’s soundtrack. The newest song is the “Forever (Remix)” with Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and Eminem.

LeBron also talks about the songs that got him pumped up for high school games. This movie looks like it’s going to be really good. I still can’t believe it came in second in the Toronto Film Festival, with only Slumdog Millionaire beating it out!

LeBron at Browns Game

When are the Cowboys in town again?

When are the Cowboys in town again?

LeBron was at Sunday’s Cleveland Browns game. This is a good thing. He received an ovation when He was shown on the scoreboard. This is a good thing.

Readers are thinking, “Does this matter?”

Well He’s in Cleveland. This is a good thing. He’s doing Cleveland type activities. This is a good thing. Does this mean He stays? No. Are we still happy He was at the game? Yes. Is this post over? Yes.

Knicks to offer LeBron his own cable station?

Switching to Channel 23 as soon as this speech ends...

Switching to Channel 23 as soon as this speech ends...

As if the standing ovation when LeBron came to the Garden last year wasn’t enough, the Knicks have more plans to bring Bron to the Big Apple in 2010. The Knicks are reportedly planning to give LeBron his own cable station if he comes to New York in 2010. This would be a way to give LeBron more revenue and not violate the salary cap.

Now let’s analyze this a little bit deeper. This rumor has no source which automatically makes it less credible. Cablevision does own the New York Knicks and could easily give LeBron his own channel, but would David Stern let it happen? Truthfully no one knows if this is possible, legal, or probable. The fact that this is even being mentioned shows how badly the Knicks still want LeBron.

I’ve read several articles about this situation but I’ve linked the one that approaches the rumor with the right tone, humor.

Jay-Z wants LeBron in Brooklyn

At 5:30 Letterman asks Jay about the Nets…

From the perspective of LeBron fan as well as a Jay-Z fan, this interview was cool. Jay doesn’t want to pressure LeBron to come to Brooklyn, (who are we kidding they’ll be in New Jersey for like seven more years) but obviously he’d like LeBron on his team no matter where they’re playing. Jay isn’t going as hard as some of the other teams, maybe because he doesn’t have to? He definitely has LeBron’s ear already. Just another chapter in the “Where Will He Go?” saga…
